The good thing about having a blog is that I have somewhere to express myself in words. Outside of writing songs and making music, this is the one place I can freely share my opinion without any restrictions. So that’s exactly what I’m about to do.
At the time of writing this, it’s currently the beginning of November. This time of year is probably when morale is at its lowest, and a lot of people tend to feel unmotivated. I can definitely admit that I haven’t been doing enough. I haven’t been making as much music or writing as much as I was in the first half of the year. Being in London doesn’t help much either. The skies are grey, the weather’s bad, and the energy is undoubtedly low. As creatives, this is definitely the low point of the year. Of course, not everyone is going to relate to this, but I know a lot of people do. So what’s the point of me saying any of this? Well, there isn’t much of a reason, but I definitely think it’s worth highlighting. A lot of the time we can forget that the people around us are going through similar things to us. Sometimes it’s good to acknowledge how we feel to allow ourselves to grow and evolve.
As the year comes to a close, a period of reflection naturally begins. Some of us are starting to think about what we might do differently next year and what goals we want to achieve. So, if you’re reading this and you relate to what I’ve said: don’t forget that it’s okay to feel unmotivated or lazy. Sometimes we get so stuck in our creativity and the natural flow of the year that we forget to take breaks and relax. But even through those quieter moments, have faith in yourself and who you are. Don’t lose sight of where you come from and where you want to be. Most importantly, don’t forget to believe in yourself and trust the process.

What do you think ?!
